I served 30 years with the Springerville Police Department. I started as a Reserve Officer, then moved up to a Patrol Officer, then became the department's first Detective. After serving as a Detective for 15 years I was promoted to Chief. I served the last 10 yrs of my career as Dhief. I have also served on both Springerville and Eagar Fire Departments as an Engineer. I have served or currently serve on several Community Boards.
I have lived in the White Mountains since I graduated from Duncan High School in 1978. Between hers, mine and ours my wife Mary and I have 5 kids. 4 boys and 1 girl who are all grown up. I also have numerous grandkids and great grandkids.
I love to spend my time on the mountain, riding on my buggy exploring new areas. I love to hunt, fish, and camp and just spending time outdoors. I started cooking to relieve stress and I turned it into a successful catering business that was called 145 GRILL. I don't do much catering anymore, just for special events. I spend all my time working on building up my non-profit 'Better World Barbeque' We are committed to helping as many people as we can.
I currently put on Arizonas longest running BBQ competion the 'Springerville Rib Throwdown'. See the section on About Us to see how we started this. I will continue to do my best in helping groups and people who need it.
